Reading the map
Each level is a cut slice of earth with its front walls removed. Numbered circles match the legend. Lettered diamonds mark where each way down begins and where it arrives on the level below.
Ways between levels
Each seed builds new connecting architecture: stairs with or without banisters, S-bends with landings, arched stone bridges, rickety rope bridges, ladders, ladder shafts and spiral stairs. Each one ends at an open arch, an oak door or a portcullis.
How it is inked
Every edge is redrawn with a slow bow, a wrist wobble, finger tremor and overshoot at the corners. Shaded faces get a grey wash and hatching; earth gets strata, stones and clustered hatch marks.
Names
Every new map gets a name built from the dungeon type: an adjective, a word for the place (crypt, barrow, delvings, fane and others), and a saint, a dwarf-hold, an elder god or a place-name. Type over it to use your own, or press New name.
